Volunteer Leading Program

​Volunteer Program for Mandarin Enthusiasts and Aspiring Leaders
This volunteer program offers an incredible opportunity for students in 7th grade and above with Mandarin learning experience and fluency in the language to refine their skills while building valuable leadership abilities. Volunteers will engage in meaningful activities such as mentoring younger learners and leading interactive Mandarin workshops. These experiences are designed to enhance communication skills, build self-confidence, and deepen cultural appreciation.
By working closely with live student groups, volunteers will form meaningful relationships, inspire others to embrace language learning, and leave a lasting impact on their community. This program provides an enriching platform for young leaders to excel academically, grow personally, and contribute to a culturally engaging environment.
✨ Priority consideration will be given to Mei Jia graduates and students who have previously studied with Mei Jia.
Volunteer Responsibilities
  • Assist camp instructors during Mandarin language lessons and activities.
  • Help younger campers stay engaged and focused on their tasks.
  • Set up and organize materials for daily sessions.
  • Provide general support to ensure smooth camp operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for high school students passionate about education, languages, or working with children. While fluency in Mandarin is a significant advantage, it is not a strict requirement.

If accepted, you’ll be invited to attend a short orientation and training session, which will take place shortly before the Summer Camp virtual orientation.

As a volunteer, you’ll help younger students learn Mandarin through games, activities, and interactive lessons—all while gaining real leadership experience and confidence.
