Saturday Preschool Age Mandarin Class
Time: Saturday 9:00am-10:45am
Designed for preschoolers 5-7 year olds. The curriculum is play-based and developmentally appropriate. Lessons are conducted in Mandarin but we provide support as needed for students who enter without any Mandarin knowledge. It has been demonstrated
world-wide in language acquisition that children in this age group are extremely fast learners.
Mandarin Play and Learn (MPL) Saturday Classes
Time: Sunday 9:00am-10:45am
Mei-Jia Mandarin Play and Learn (MPL) Sunday classes are play- based classes, designed for children ages 2.5-5, to learn Mandarin Chinese. Previous Mandarin knowledge is not required or expected. Our teachers facilitate the children’s learning through songs, games, stories, and other age appropriate activities.Research shows many benefits to early language learning including increased intellectual growth and mental development, greater sensitivity to language and a better ear for listening, and an increased appreciation of different cultures and peoples.
Saturday Classes for Upper Mandarin Levels
Time: 9:00am -7:30pm
Students from 5-to-18 years of age as well as adults are offered a two-hour period of Mandarin education per weekend day, based on their individualized needs. We have 7 different level classes for the students at different age and Mandarin Levels(Beginning to Advance Level). The curriculum uses a topic-based approach, combining individual and group projects to give the students the opportunity to better understand Chinese language and culture. Many of our students have passed the A.P. Chinese test and have won a lot of awards, such as Chinese Bridge Cup Recital and Calligraphy Contests, CLTAC (Chinese Language Teachers Association of California) Mandarin Speech Contests, etc.
We have group lesson, Private lesson, Semi-Private lesson, and Small Group Tutoring
No class on the Thanksgiving Weekend, Christmas Weekend, Chinese New Year Weekend, and Spring Break Weekend.
