The after school Mandarin program provides a warm and relaxed learning experience. The teacher will facilitate the children’s learning through Chinese art, songs, games, stories, and other age-appropriate activities. These classes will be taught entirely in Mandarin, so that students will be immersed in a Chinese-speaking environment. Through meaningful content and engaging activities, children will acquire Chinese fluency and the disposition to be life-long learners of the language. The classes will meet two times a week and will be grouped by the student’s grade level and their language proficiency.
The students will learn listening, speaking, reading, writing and Chinese culture for the first hour. The Chinese traditional arts , songs and dances will be introduced to the class for the second hour.
Please note that there is a minimum of 6 students required to enroll in order to host the class at Hillcrest.
Class 1( Intermediate class- G1-5): Monday and Friday

Class 2( Beginner class- Kinders) :Monday and Friday
