                  St. Monica Mandarin Program

Mei Jia Chinese Learning Center is a multi-faceted Mandarin language and Chinese cultural learning center. We offer before and after school Mandarin programs, summer camp, and weekend programs for K-8th graders at different ages and levels. We maintain a very low teacher-to-student ratio so that each student will have individualized instruction. Many students in our program have passed the AP Chinese Exam, continued Mandarin as a language subject in college, and won many awards in Chinese calligraphy and poetry contests, such as the Chinese Bridge Cup Recital and Calligraphy Contests, and CLTAC (Chinese Language Teachers Association of California) Mandarin Speech Contests, etc
Here are some videos of Mandarin programs for your viewing.

             Mandarin Program at Saint Monica

Language is best learned through social interaction and meaningful, hands-on activities. At Mei Jia, our highly trained and caring teachers create a nurturing and enriching environment that immerses children in both the Chinese language and culture.
Our engaging curriculum combines academic Mandarin instruction with fun and culturally rich experiences. In addition to structured language lessons, students will participate in a variety of activities such as Chinese calligraphy, traditional arts and crafts, and cultural projects that connect them to the history and heritage of China.
Through interactive methods like songs, poems, chants, and storytelling, students naturally develop Mandarin listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. This well-rounded approach helps build both language fluency and a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture, fostering a joyful and effective learning experience.
