About Us 关于我们

Mei Jia Chinese Learning Center is a multi-faceted Mandarin language and Chinese cultural learning center. We offer Morning program for preschoolers, after school program for elementary students, summer camp, and weekend program for all students at different ages and levels. We maintain a very low teacher-to-student ratio so that each student will have individualized instruction. Many students in our program have passed the AP Chinese Exam, continued Mandarin as a language subject in college, and won many awards in Chinese calligraphy and poetry contests, such as the Chinese Bridge Cup Recital and Calligraphy Contests, and CLTAC (Chinese Language Teachers Association of California) Mandarin Speech Contests, etc. Please check out our activity photos here.

In-Person Before School & After school
                                Mandarin Programs

Because of COVID-19, in this semester,  we are focusing on safety first.  We will limit the in-person Mandarin program size.We designed more outdoor activities for our programs compared to past years.  The safety and health of our students is our priority.

Usually, on the last day of semester,  a performance and party is held for families and friends to showcase our children's newly acquired language skills. This year due to social distancing measures, we will send the families a short video instead about the program activities and the language the students have learned.

Registration will be first come, first serve. Please sign up your child as soon as possible before it is full, due to small group Mandarin program this year.

Picture

This year for our 2021 summer camp, we are focusing on safety first. We designed more outdoor activities for our programs compared to past summers. We are optimistic about summer activities outdoors while at the same time prepared to continue operating as a closed campus as we have during the past months. The safety and health of our students is our priority.

This summer at MeiJia, our 8-week summer program will be broken into 4 two-week sessions. Usually, on the last day of camp, a performance and party is held for families and friends to showcase the campers’ newly acquired language skills. This year due to social distancing measures, we will send the families a short video instead about the program activities and the language the students have learned.

*Note: Because of COVID-19, we will only be able to accept 15 students for the in-person Mandarin program per camp.

The Chinese people love to stick couplets on the Spring Festival, which are also written on red paper(红纸hóng zhǐ).
We have red antithetical couplets on our doors, we set off firecracker and celebrate the new year.

Did you see it before? Do you understand the meaning? Would you paste one?
